Certificates and the Annual Pass

Every course on Train Your Skills is free, with its lessons, tests and workbook. When you finish one, you can get a certificate of completion to show it: on LinkedIn, on your CV or to your employer.

What a certificate shows

A Train Your Skills certificate states that you passed the test of every lesson of a course. It shows the name you choose, the course, the number of lessons, the date and a verification code. Its link is public, so anyone you share it with can check that it is genuine; your email is never shown.

It is a certificate of completion, not an accredited qualification. Its value is that it is earned: there is no certificate without passing every test.

How to get one

  1. Complete the coursePass the test at the end of every lesson. You can repeat each test as often as you need.
  2. Write your nameAs you want it printed. You can correct it later at no cost.
  3. Choose how to payA single certificate, or the Annual Pass if you plan to take more than one course.
  4. Share itPrint it, save it as a PDF, or add it to your LinkedIn profile in one click.

Annual Pass

$20 a year

Every certificate you earn while it is active, and a discount on paid courses when they launch. Renews yearly; cancel any time.

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are handled by Polar, which sells on our behalf as merchant of record and sends your receipt.

The Annual Pass

Taking more than two courses a year? The pass costs less than three single certificates, and every certificate you earn while it is active is included. Use the same email you use for your courses.

Add it to LinkedIn

Your certificate page has an Add to LinkedIn button. It opens the “Add license or certification” form on your profile with the course name, Train Your Skills as the issuing organisation, the date, the verification link and the code already filled in. You only review it and save.

Questions

Do I have to pay to take a course?

No. Every course, lesson, test and workbook is free. You only pay if you want a certificate.

Can I correct the name on my certificate?

Yes. Open the certificate page of the course again, write the name and save it. It costs nothing and keeps the same verification code.

What happens to my certificates if I cancel the Annual Pass?

They stay valid. Cancelling only stops the renewal: the pass works until the end of the year you paid for, and every certificate issued keeps its public link.

Is the certificate accredited?

No. It is a certificate of completion from Train Your Skills. It shows that you completed the course and passed all its tests, and anyone can verify it.

Who handles the payment?

Polar, our merchant of record. It processes the payment, handles taxes and sends the receipt. We never see your card details.
