Free, and worth your time

Built around doing

Every lesson asks you to do something real with what you just learned, and the course workbook keeps your exercises in one place.

Tested, not just watched

A short test closes each lesson. You can repeat it as many times as you like; it is there to make the lesson stick, not to catch you out.

Free, with no catch

Enrolling adds you to our newsletter, where we announce new courses. That is the whole deal, and you can unsubscribe in one click.

Questions

Are the courses really free?

Yes. Every course, lesson, test and workbook is free, and you only need an email address. The only thing you can pay for is optional: a certificate of completion, at $9 per course or included in the Annual Pass for $20 a year.

Do I need an account?

No. You enrol with your email, and the link in your welcome email opens your courses on any device. This browser remembers you after that.

How long does a course take?

Each course has 5 to 7 lessons. Most lessons take 20 to 30 minutes including the exercise, and you go at your own pace.

What if I fail a test?

Read the questions you missed, review the lesson and try again. There is no limit on attempts.

Is the certificate an official qualification?

It is a certificate of completion: it shows that you passed every test of the course, and anyone can verify it with its code. It is not an accredited qualification. More about certificates.
